Home

This weekend is the fiesta of the 'padron' (saint) of the town I live in, and so naturally we wandered down to the town square and ate, my daughter had a go on the rides and boosted up on sugar (at least she has the walk back along the beach to burn off all of that energy). As I stood by the bouncy climby thing watching her clamber around, 15 mins of jumping slides, mushrooms and generally boinging around I couldn't help but think how nice it is to wake up to sunshine, have mild enough evenings to be able to wander out comfortably, and generally enjoy the regular occurrance of exactly this kind of winter activity. Not for the first time this week, I felt thankful to be here.
